Goldsboro's native American Beech forest is under pressure from vines growing in some of the youngest and oldest trees.  These are invasive species, and they are taking over an entire area at the bottom of the common area between Goldtree Way and Davenport Rd.  Here are snapshots of  a large Beech tree overcome with vines;  a beautiful holly with vines running through it;  and a few very young beeches completely overwhelmed.
